Tue. An autumn wind

“I can’t see the coming of autumn, but I’m surprised to hear an autumn wind.”
This is a Tanka expressing the coming of autumn. It means that a late summer is the sign of an early autumn.
It has been humid and very hot this summer. I’m fed up with this season. The weather report says it will be hot more than a week.
But I know that the rice grows the best in hot and humid countries. And we should accept fully the weather.
When my children were kids I never used to turn on the air conditioning in my house, but this summer, I turn it on all day long. I hope it will be cool soon.
Japan is best in autumn. I like autumn best. In Japan we think that autumn is the best season for reading, sports, appreciating art and eating. And autumn appears most in the classics in Japanese literature.
