Tue..

Table manners
When I watched a program on TV, a well known scholar and a beautiful announcer took the chair at the meeting. The meeting made a smooth start. I enjoyed the program. But the next situation, made me feel surprised. Because, when they sampled a dish they used their left hand as a saucer.
It’s unseemly to do such a manner.
You are what you eat. I suppose a person who has good manners are a person of character, and table manners are general knowledge. In Japan we have had elegant table manners with old customs. But nowadays many people have lost the good customs.
I don’t know why we don’t use manners. We have to teach manners to our children in our homes. Now the urgent issue for us is to get back our table manners from old customs.
