☆　Today's talking was of the table manners.
chopsticks
There are several dos and don'ts in using chopstioks on formal occassions. Licking chopstics, resting them over bowls or plates instead of on chopstick rest, holding the chosticks above dishes while choosing what to eat, or stabbing food with chopsticks ---these are all taboos.
On the other hand, it is considered good mannners to use the other end of one's chopsticks when one has to take food from a platter.
