花・ユリ

写真：ひさびさの花。梅雨に入って、庭の花も一休み、といったところにユリが咲き出した。かのこゆり、鬼百合、やまゆりなどつぼみをもたげて順番待ち。あまり目もくれなかったので、突然現れておどろく。一度球根を埋めておけば毎年花をつけるので、ズボラなガーデナーにはうってつけ。地中で越冬するのも雪国には都合がいい。
（１）芽だしのときから見事な勢いにびっくり。脇にあるばらの肥料を失敬したらしい。２メートルを越して花かず１４．５。カサブランカ。やまゆりの血を引く向半日陰
（２）夜には香りがひときわ流れる

Sumo (July 25th)
Sumo is a combative sport of Japan with a long history. It was in the Edo period that the basic style of what we see now was established. Before each match, they scatter salt to purify the ring and stamp their feet to drive evil spirits away. In the Nagoya grand tournament, Yokozuna Asashoryu won the tournament with 14 wins and 1 loss.
There is a Sekitori from Akita, whose name is Takekaze who is a 13th of Maegasira. In this grand tournament he got a great result with 9 wins and 6 losses. I suppose his grade will improve be higher in the next tournament.
Sumo is popular around world today, so many young boys come to Japan with the aim the Sumo wrestlers from many foreign countries
Actually, the Yokozuna and many Sekitori are foreigners.
Anyway, I’m astonished that they can speak Japanese very well. I want to know how they mastered it.
